This romper, and really the whole idea of 'rompers', kind of makes me feel like a kid. Kids don't have time to think too much about what they are going to wear, so a one piece they can simply pull up and be done with is perfect for a day filled with running and gathering flowers and reading and making friends and laughing and asking questions. As I am approaching my third decade I am trying to pay attention to what is trendy, while maintaining a sense of age-appropriateness. To accomplish this I added a belt (turned at a jaunty side angle), my trusty denim jacket and my sassy leopard flats I have come to love so well. In just the romper I feel comfy and ready to lounge about the house on a warm day, but with a few minor additions I could fill my day with running and gathering flowers and reading and making friends and laughing and asking questions.
Denim Jacket & Romper: Old Navy
Belt: Nordstrom
Leopard Flats: Target
Cuff Bracelet: From my grandmother
Puka Shell Necklace: My mom's from her high school days
Yes, I remember the childhood days when getting clothed was so easy, and not at all a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteI want a romper so badly. This is so cute! Is it strapless?

I was so against rompers at first! This is the first summer that I actually own one and aside from the issue of figuring out how to use the bathroom in one, I love them.

I've never felt comfortable in a romper, but I love how you kept things simple and cute you with this outfit. The denim jacket and leopard print flats. Perfect for a casual, warm-weather weekend!
