Top, skirt: H&M (top in stores, similar skirt); Shoes: Famous Footwear; Three-strand pearls: Macys (gift from my parents)
Yesterday marked my first day in my new office, a much larger and more private space than my previous open, front-desk area. I bought a bunch of light green and bright pink carnations and it has made the space look lively and my own. I've taken the job opportunity to add a few new elements to my wardrobe, namely the stone colored pencil skirt above, and a pair of camel suede heels soon to be featured on the blog. I am looking at adding a bunch of new pairs of tights, a navy pencil skirt, and some structured, work-appropriate dresses for the fall. Blazers and boots wouldn't hurt, but I'm a girl on a budget, so we'll see. Don't you just love new seasons to shop for?
Other than that, my boyfriend and I have been working on his medical school apps constantly since July and "we're" finally done with submitting the secondaries (he's done and I'm done waiting for him to be done, to be honest). Woohoo! Now the waiting game begins.

So ladylike! Love this. It's great to see a tasteful, well-coordinated outfit (since so much street style fashion nowadays is rather mis-matched and funky).
