In small ways this dress reminds me of my wedding day. Delicate lace, a braided up-do, roses, and all smiles. Granted, today was actually just a regular old day at work in my office, but it's nice to be reminded of one of my very best days from time to time. As my 2 year anniversary approaches (October) I'll have to think about posting a few wedding photos and describing the day a bit more in depth.
Back to me complaining about the heat (which, actually today was significantly better). The warm summer nights cause me to sleep very poorly. I am restless and uncomfortable and burdened with bizarro dreams. Last night my subconsciousness decided that my husband was going to leave me, but wanted everything to be extremely equal. I had to purchase empty shampoo bottles, etc. and meticulously measure how much of each household substance we had and split it perfectly in half. Every drop accounted for and split evenly.
When I told my husband about it this morning he thought it was pretty silly. I place the blame for this ridiculous and tedious dream squarely on the shoulders of this heat wave. And probably on the fact that I had some residual guilt for being so cranky towards my husband the last few days. I'll be nicer in the fall.
You did spend the first 18+ years of your life in TX, right...where it is currently 85 at 9:00 am with a forecasted high of 104...ish. ;)Hope all is well. Love the blog venture you're on! I need to revisit the blogging world! :)
ReplyDeleteI know, I know! I don't know how I ever survived! Why do you think I've lived the last 10 years way up here?! ;) It also really does make quite a difference when we don't have a/c. There's no escape!
DeleteNo a/c...oh - I take it all back. That would be unbearable! We plan to head north as sooooon as we can! ;) We do not like the heat at all..not one little bit!
DeleteLove the dress...dreams can be very funny things! x
