An Ode to Sundays

My pup is in the corner sleeping. Sighing and occasionally making little piggy grunting noises. A cool end of summer breeze is floating through my windows and my computer is warm on my lap. Tomorrow will begin another week filled with a rush of to-dos and cannot-waits, but for right now things are quiet and still. The apartment smells like pine and lemon and all things clean. My closet is filled with freshly laundered clothes. The pantry is stocked and my tennis shoes are waiting patiently by the door for a Monday morning run in the park. Tonight I will breathe deeply and dream good dreams. Resetting for the new week.
