In Silk We Trust

I won this gorgeous Madewell silk runaround dress in a twitter giveaway from Lemoncrate, an online shopping experience where you can browse daily deals and gorgeous brands (like Madewell) and then file those deals and items away in virtual closets. I was thrilled to get it in the mail and put it on as silk is one of my favorite fabrics (second only to cashmere) as it fall perfectly on the body with little coaxing and no adjustments needed throughout the day. I paired it with polka dot tights and a red blazer to dress it up a bit for work. In reviewing the photos, I'm not sure I'll wear it to work again unless my tights are opaque or black as it looks like I'm showing a bit too much leg! Whoops! Such is the curse of abnormally long legs.

This past weekend my boyfriend and I had a bunch of plans that all ultimately fell through as I was feeling under the weather, but we're trying to recoup and we have the fair planned for tonight, a potential trip to the coast in the works, and excited for fall to drop by so we can head to some pumpkin patches and start drinking ciders again.
