On the Boardwalk

These photos are from a pretty boardwalk trail that my boyfriend and I discovered in the midst of a sprawling urban area outside of our city. It's a protected wetlands with a one-mile boardwalk trail that is decorated by little lakes, buzzing dragon flies, apple and pear trees, and turning fall leaves. We wandered along it, taking photos of everything (and each other) and had a ton of fun soaking up some late summer sun and the early fall breeze among mossy trees and bugs. We prefaced the walk with a pumpkin spice latte (with half the syrup) and ended it with a big, delicious dinner. 

We made Frogmore Stew (you can see photos on instagram) which was a delicious finger-food stew of prawns, smoked sausage, corn, potatoes, onions, and broth served with homemade cocktail sauce and a loan of warm, buttered french bread. I'd highly recommend it. We got the recipe from Esquire magazine and it was easy, hearty, and absolutely delicious.
