Back in Black

Happy last few days of December, all! It has been a while since I've taken outfit photos, but I'm happily back at home and taking photos again after a successful Christmas away. These we took today at a local botanical conservatory as it was pouring and about 40 degrees outside. Though the weather was crummy, this blazer (that I got at an awesome American Eagle sale), was very warm and comfy in the gloom. I love that this blazer is not only very equestrian, but academic as well - perfect for the new year at work (I work in higher education). 

I didn't feature any Christmas loot photos here, but celebrated with my boyfriend's family a bit south in Oregon. We just tonight finished unpacking everything including a bunch of kitchen tools (mortar and pestle, water pitcher, wine glasses, bottles of rye whisky, and fancy Bialetti espresso maker), some nice new clothes (see the blazer above), and some new books. I also bought myself an iPad for the upcoming work year. If you have any recommendations for apps, let me know!
