Blazer: H&M; Sweater: Ralph Lauren (hand-me-down); Skinnies: Gap; Shoes: Anne Klein
Are you getting tired of my Christmas tree backdrop, the terrible lighting, and tired poses? Me too! But desperate times call for desperate measures and bear with me because... I had to share this outfit!
The short sleeve sweater I am wearing was a hand-me-down from my Mom. It's a hand-knit Ralph Lauren sweater made of lambswool and besides giving me a bit of a neck itch is in ridiculously perfect condition. I layered over it with a blazer because: a) it's a bit small for work, and b) Ben said I had to. I haven't tried the blazer over sweater combo yet, though I love the look on guys, so I am feeling pretty fashion forward today (thanks, Ben!).
But back to the sweater: I find that the most amazing pieces of my wardrobe are hand-me-downs from my mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beyond... I'm also wearing a family heirloom bracelet today (not pictured above) that is covered in a great grandmother's little inscribed charms. How awesome is it to wear something that your family member wore themselves for years?
Happy Friday all! Hope you have great weekends. Ben and I are celebrating the four year anniversary of the day we met tonight and then a Christmas party with gift exchange on Sunday. I'll totally share pictures on Sunday!
I love this power suit like look, perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the blazer over the sweater! And you're lucky you have such good hand-me-downs, my mom and grandma are too short and anyways have super-Asian taste (all pink and frills and embarrassingly over-the-top patterns).
