Nisqually Wildlife Refuge

Jacket, hat: North Face; T-shirt: Tacoma is for Lovers tee; Flannel: stolen from Ben; Pants: H&M; Shoes: Puma

Ben and I took a trip down to our favorite local wildlife refuge, Nisqually, this weekend to take a nice three mile walk on the boardwalk across the wetlands and bird watch. We were very fortunate to get to see baby grey horned owls nested in a tree, a bunch of herons, a vulture, and plenty of geese and waterfowl. As we get into spring, we'll probably visit again to catch the songbird migrations. It's even more beautiful in the spring and summer when the trees are green and the wetlands are flooded. We finished the day with a trip to the Fish Tale brew pub in Olympia and tried a sampler of beers and had some great food. I couldn't resist a few fish mural photos!

It was absolutely freezing while we walked and my nose wouldn't stop running - so these outfit photos leave a lot of style to be desired. I'd say they're pretty much the Northwest uniform, though, so here's a good look at what "style" is on a daily basis. The only item of note is my new Tacoma is for Lovers tee from the King's Books craft fair this weekend. I am obsessed.
