Late to the Game

Ben and I had a bit of a staycation in town today. In lieu of lunch, we opted for froyo down the street and while eating some delicious yogurt + topping concoctions, noticed a wine bar across the street nestled between a driving school and a wine merchant's shop. I yelp-ed it immediately and having no plans we wandered in for perfectly priced, perfectly delicious wine (a bordeaux, chianti, and cotes du rhone). The owner was playing amazing jazz and it was raining gently outside, letting us just talk in this quiet little space while sipping wine. It's weird that we haven't been to some place that's literally a block away and sells my favorite thing in the world - wine! Just goes to show what you can drink accomplish when you're observant and have a few hours of free time!

I'm wearing a brand new peplum blouse from Express above and I am in love. I'm late to the peplum game but only because I haven't ever gone out and tried to purchase one. I've been lusting after them for... oh maybe six months. Express has some gorgeous peplums right now (I'm pretty sure they have a "peplum shop" online) and many of them are perfect for both work and for casual days out. The reason there are so few photos of the whole outfit are all due to a passing squall that hit us mid-photo shoot. By the time we got home, we were entirely drenched! It seemed pretty romantic until my camera started to take in water! :)
