How beautiful is all of that morning sunlight streaming in? These photos were taken in the early morning, pre-work hours, and I was just delighted to sit in a patch of sun and bask for a few minutes. I've already resuscitated my spring and summer no-tights skirts, rearranged my closet to store the sweaters in a less-accessible area and have packed up the hats, beanies, gloves, and chunky scarves so that they can meet the dark insides of my clothes storage containers. Take that, warm-weather gear!
This outfit, with the swinging skirt and short sleeved sweater, made me feel a bit fifties. I think that the fact that I took these photos in the house holding a house-cat made it all the more domesticated! I would definitely not say that retro is at all a part of my style profile, but if it was, I think I'd be happy with the clean classic lines of the early-mid 1900s (yuck to the 70s, 80s, 90s). There's nothing that makes you feel more feminine than a sweet swinging skirt that highlights the waist.
Lovely colours in this outfit :D Also, your cat is adorable!

I've been obsessing over stripes and polka dots lately, and I love the way you worked them here. The green top is a great counterpoint, and the whole shoot feels vintage, in the best kind of way :)
