That aside... oh my god peplums! This outfit made me feel like a feminine, small-waisted, curvy-hipped, rockstar, model, fashionable, runway ready, secret-agent! I know that these images may not convey that, but it's all about how awesome you feel in clothes and how powerful the perfect outfit can make you feel! When I leave my house feeling well-dressed, I feel like I can conquer the day. When I struggle with my outfit, or it fits poorly, or I feel like I am starting off at a disadvantage. I think that there is a lot to be said for caring about looking your best every day. I certainly notice when my colleagues have on a new blouse that makes them look polished and happy, or when someone stands up straighter in their new shoes.

Ever since starting this blog, I've gone from not dressing particularly well (and not caring too much), to trying. I try to hang my clothes nicely, and try to iron them on the weekends so I am set to go before work, and I try to leave with something on that I feel proud of. To be fair, this process can often leave me running out the door later than usual or crying gently into a pile of tried on outfits... but, I am so happy to be part of this community that's also trying! I'm inspired every day by your pretty outfit photos and inspiration (I'd never have rolled my cuffs properly without guided advice, or worn belts over my cardigan and knee-high socks with equestrian boots). Keep it up, folks! Your inspiration is helping me to be that secret-agent lady you see above. ;)
