Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had lovely relaxing weekends and are prepared for the new week ahead. I can confidently say that I am not prepared. I had a lovely weekend, some photos of which I've already shared but to recap, the weekend involved: an almond roca shake from our local retro-shake-shop slash diner, taking myself out to a movie, reading a novel in verse (The Autobiography of Red by Anne Carson, highly recommended), doing some rudimentary watercolor art (see on my instagram or above), visiting a new park and taking outfit photos, and buying a new dress from Target (pictured above). The Target purchase is particularly apropos, because today one of my sweet sponsors, Jai, from The Fat and Skinny on Fashion, is on the blog today discussing her blog and giving away a $25 gift card. Target fans among my readership will be thrilled because the Kate Young collection is out and there are some awesome summer sandals available right now as well! Learn a little bit more about Jai below (she has some amazing ideas on making an accesible blog to all readers) and enter to win this great giveaway too!

The Fat and Skinny on Fashion was blog I started while I was in grad school for my fashion journalism degree from the Academy of Art University. TFAS is a blog for women of all cultures and sizes where they can find fashion and beauty tips without feeling self conscious or left out like other mainstream blogs.
I started TFAS 4 years ago, and it has been growing ever since. I love this blog because I have been able to met some really awesome people and experience some really neat things too like New York Fashion Week. I usually go there twice a year, and I hit up other fashion events to bring readers the latest trends.
Besides writing my blog, I love to knit and crochet. Yarn crafts are the perfect stress relievers. You also get a really nice feeling of accomplishment when finish and make something. I also like to read, visit art museums and galleries, travel, and of course...shop! How else would I feed my love of fashion? My hobbies boost my inspiration, keep me grounded, and help me to continue learning and fuel my mind.
P.S. Congrats to Niki C. from Glossy Blonde on winning the Wantr giveaway to Zara! and congrats to Amy P. on winning the Gap/Old Navy giveaway from Nina! Linking up with YOLO Mondays.
