If someone had ever told me that above-the-knee marlin embroidered shorts for men would be in... I would very likely have laughed and then sent them packing to the East Coast to join their preppy brethren. And then, naturally, preppy became a staple. H&M's latest men's line, where Ben got these shorts, has some awesome preppy items for sale right now. We avoided some of the more weird/bodacious colors in polo form and just opted for these shorts that Ben rightly calls "jaunty."
Anyway, we went to explore a park about fifteen minutes south of us that we'd never been to before. It's a man-made lake surrounded by a nice walking path and some fishing spots for junior anglers. We were able to see lots of little birds flitting through the spring flowers, a ton of turtles sunning themselves on a log, and some ducks. We were inconveniently caught in a rain storm as well and it was miserably cold, probably because we were dressed for some what of a tropical boardwalk outing rather than a northwest April day.
