Ben and I took an after-work walk through the park this evening and discovered the most insanely cute thing possible - a bunch of tiny, baby, fuzzy ducklings swimming in the pond. We spent a good thirty minutes oohing, awing, and I managed to capture some pretty good ducks-eating-bugs-and-swimming shots. I am still dying from the cuteness.
It has been remarkably warm (I rarely even remember where my sunglasses are, much less wear them every day), and so I wore this to work today - a light chiffon blouse belted over a maxi dress. It kept me nice and cool and though it pushes the envelope of business casual attire, it's simply getting too hot to wear pencil skirts and blazers. Can someone deliver me pleated chiffon skirts in every single color so that I can get through the impending summer without melting?
Before heading outside into the park, I put on some of my new eyeshadow from BA*Star to brighten up my eyes after a long day spent in front of the computer. I don't look great with a lot of color on my eyelid, nor am I skilled at applying anything other than basic mascara, so I am always thankful for eyeshadows that are easy to use and provide me with neutral colors. My favorite color palette is bronze/gold as they add a natural glimmer to the eyelid without being overpowering. This palette from BA*Star included all the makings of a fantastic smoky eye in bronzes and browns, but I just dabbed on some glimmering gold powder and a hint of a darker brown at the corners of the eyelid and felt instantly dressed up. Here's to fantastically easy to use eyeshadow! I will definitely be exploring it in the future so look out for some more creative styling.
In the meantime, get yourself some BA*Star smoky palette eyeshadow for 50% off with the code: BBSMOKY here. It's a steal! Please note that this post was sponsored by BA Star! Sponsorship does not influence my opinion of the product.
