Heat Wave

It. is. too. hot.

Too hot. To do anything. It hit 91 here today and after getting deep into a new book in the park, I picked up a good sunburn and have spent the rest of the evening in burnt-skinned agony spritzing myself with water to keep from going crazy in the heat. It's too hot to clean. Too hot to sit. Too hot to read. Too hot to eat. Too hot to cook. We can't open our windows up very wide due to the no-screen and stupid cat issue, so we're just baking in this apartment. I'm guessing it's in the mid nineties in here with no breeze to speak of. Outside, it's finally dropped to 88 degrees and it's almost 10 p.m. Ugh.

I will be wearing a new LWD to work tomorrow to try to stay cool for another ninety degree day. Without AC in Washington (anywhere), these days are totally miserable. I'm also sending Ben off across the country tomorrow to visit his grandparents and will be spending a lonely, hot week with kitty. Welcome to bad self-timer photos of my outfits, folks!

    91 is definitely hot! haha...we hung out in a different part of the Bay Area here and it was 98! My frozen yogurt literally melted in my hands as we walked from the store to the car...which wasn't far. haha
