I fully intended to post an outfit tonight, but I got together with Jane from In the Pink and Green tonight at a Latin American restaurant for happy hour and three hours and two cocktails later... it was dark. Whoops! So instead of my own outfit, I'm going to feature something way more interesting: luxe fall styles from a new sponsor, Ptarmigan, a UK based luxury outdoor clothing retailer. If you're not drooling for some chilly weather and an English countryside vacation after this post, maybe you've had too many cocktails as well.
There is something about Fall that makes me want neutrals and classic items that pair well with everything. Because Fall is so boot and pant heavy, I like to have a good repertoire of simple, but pretty long sleeve tees and sweaters that can fit under all outdoor-wear and raingear. I'm also less inclined to carry purses that can't withstand the common Northwest downpour and something that can be waterproofed or even made to last some inclement weather seems like an awesome idea.
I also feel inclined to reach for the best fabrics in fall. Tweeds, leather, fur, pretty brown suedes, and canvas all fit the heavy duty yet chic bill and the English countryside style of Ptarmigan fits right in with this theme. How much do you love that piped blazer? I think I'd even ride a horse if it meant that I could sport this apparel.
Check out Ptarmigan if you get the chance - I spent a good bit of my evening lusting after the items above.
