Portland doesn't get a lot of snow, but when it does, the city comes to a grinding halt, the stores close, people hole up inside, and the city looks like an entire snowball fight waiting to happen. We spent the day inside working/schooling remotely while watching more flakes fall and took a few minutes to walk the cat out in the snow this morning. He was totally nonplussed about the experience but I loved crunching around in the fluffy snow in my Sperrys! I win some, cat lost some...
By mid-day the snow had started to fall again and now we're under maybe 7-8 inches of it. Pretty much unheard of in this area. So much for grocery shopping, visiting with family or friends, or going out anywhere. It's a movie weekend to be sure and we're crossing our fingers that we get some melting soon so that we can eat something other than quesadillas and cans of beans.
