I wrote a few weeks ago about my painful-heels problem and asked most of you how long it took for your favorite heels to start hurting. The verdict was in the 1-2 hour mark, depending on the shoe. Yuck. So when Rockport asked me to try out their Seven to Seven line of really comfortable heels (that are still extremely cute!), I was intrigued. Some pain-free, yet pretty, heels? I'm not one to say to no magic, genius, and possible crazy-talk.
The pretty laser cut poppy red heels above were put to the test this weekend when I went walking along the waterfront with Ben on our first mid-seventies day of the spring. My heels are usually entirely unforgiving on concrete and so I walk to work and around town in something easier on my feet - a pair of loose flats, some strappy sandals that don't rub on my ankles and toes, or boots. It's rare that I get myself onto a patch of concrete for a walk in heels without bleeding out through my toes. But today, I challenged that with my new shoes and found myself snug, happy, and maintaining all of my original blood. They were not only extremely comfortable, but they gave me some added lift so that I could see above the sun-seeking crowds to dodge skateboarders, bicyclists and dogs. These wedges didn't even begin to hurt my feet during our couple hours out in the sun wandering and enjoying some happy hour brews.
When the sun starts to shine around here, the last thing I want is a sweaty, uncomfortable shoe. I usually defer to loose flats that I can easily pop on and off to give my feet a break. I'm feeling extremely excited to work these bright red wedges into my wardrobe and assure a blister-free summer that doesn't feel like crammed feet and doesn't sacrifice those three extra heel-supplied inches that I dearly love.
In turn, I challenge you to take the Rockport challenge. See how long a regular heel hurts you and if you're with me in the under 60-minute category, check out a pair from the Seven to Seven line and let me know what you can do in them that you'd normally be unable to do!
I am obsessed with that dress - so cute and summery (and really flattering!) - I need it! Also, that nail polish is amazing :)
