Once I discovered that the farmer's market was loaded with peonies, I started adding it back in to my Saturday morning routine. There's no way I am going to miss one Saturday peony excursion in the month of May. Frankly, I think the season for gorgeous flowers is far too short and my house always droops when I am stuck with roses and carnations in the summer.
Ben and I walked up to the market at PSU this morning in the middle of some passing rain showers and picked up a giant cinnamon roll for breakfast and some pink blooms for the house. It was nice to get up and out kind of early to enjoy the bustling streets of pre-brunch Portland. I also couldn't resist taking a bunch of flower photos for you all to see.
