On Sunday morning, giant thunderclouds rolled in the Portland and boomed the morning away. By about 10 a.m., big raindrops were soaking the pavement and storms gathered in the distance. My friend and I dashed through widely spaced raindrops to get to the science museum and then to lunch. The beautiful east Portland neighborhood streets with their massive trees and lush lawns offered a bit of storm-shelter while we took a few snaps. I think my hair was a bit done with the day by the time that portrait shot was taken.
It was actually comfortable enough on Sunday to keep my windows propped open all day long, no AC necessary, and let some of the rain get all over the windowsill. My cat stood watch for the entire day, just feeling the wind blow through his fur. It has been too hot for him to perch on the sill lately... the sun beams in and it's been about 200 degrees right near the sunlight. It was one of those magical, much-needed rainy days that I wouldn't trade for the world.
Hope you all had a great Monday and are pushing through what appears to be a really long upcoming week!
