The first of the gift guides folks! I usually attempt to finish shopping for Christmas items by the end of November with December reserved for wrapping gifts, stockings, and holiday party expenses. So I'm getting you all ready early this year.
This Christmas, my wishlist is pretty small. I want that pretty Pendleton throw from my parents (to make it a semi-matching set in our house, eliminating the need to argue over blankets) and I'd really like to get some pajamas (been asking for YEARS for pajamas). Getting married in March means that I'm already getting a lot this year - help with the wedding, everyone's travel time and money. It feels a bit ridiculous to have a long wishlist in a sea of growing expenses. That being said, I can't help but put together a list of "if this was a normal Christmas" wants list. Chalk this up to my "always want" list that just so happens to fall during the holiday season.
Things that I'm still obsessed with - everything gold, everything rose gold, everything leather, everything neutral. I'm pretty sure most women my age are into these currently trendy styles and materials so if you've got a 20-something to shop for, consider this your gift-guide rule. I've also found myself wanting to branch my accessory collection out into the layering necklace and watch arena. I'm allergic to most metals but have hope that a stainless steel backed Nixon watch wouldn't hurt my skin too much! This one is one of my favorite watches of all time.
Finally, candles. Candles came late to my life. My family only used taper candles at the dinner table. No scented candles lying about for aromatic afternoons. Not sure if that's a Hawaii thing, or just my family. Now, I'm candle-obsessed, and yet too poor to buy the candles I love. $38 for a candle?! That's like an on-sale pair of jeans. So they're shoved to the wishlist side of my life. This one from Anthro smells divine. I keep darting in the store to smell it!
