Rifle Paper Co Stationary ($22); Lamarca Prosecco ($11); Gorjana Letter Necklace ($45); Edible French ($20)
Gorjana Stacking Ring ($25)
2015 Weekly Planner ($38); C. Wonder Zodiac Votive ($22); Grass Green Pen Case ($20)
This is the last of this season's gift guides folks! It's about time to buckle down and get your items ordered (if you're ordering) or start seriously shopping! For my final guide, some unique gifts for friends, gift swaps, or hostesses that all come in at pretty accessible price points. I've only included two items that are around $40 (for your BFF) and everything else is in the low to mid $20-range. That's usually my "gift swap" price range, white elephant exchange price, and my friend-but-not-BFF range.
This year, I'm digging items that go beyond the simple scarf gift and are actually usable! My paper goods ideas are stationary (every woman needs a good set), a weekly planner that goes beyond your Target planner selection, and then a book. I think that giving people great books is a fantastic way to give them something that lasts more than the 12 hour burn of a candle or the 24 hour bubble of champagne.
For the hostess, I think that it's always nice to receive an accessible bottle of prosecco for holiday toasts. They come in handy for future parties or dinners and can add a bit of cheer to a bare wine rack after a big party. I'd also recommend a personalized candle - this zodiac votive is out of my personal candle price point, but a beautiful and meaningful gift for the hostess out there that's likely to burn down all of her candles entertaining.
Finally for the friend that has everything - one can never have too many stacking rings (seriously, look at these), a beautiful monogrammed necklace (people love personalization), and a pretty pencil case to store lovely pens on the desk!
A few of the items above are from PDX stores (shop local folks!) - Alder & Co has amazing gifts and is in downtown Portland (see the weekly planner). We are also home to the Schoolhouse Electric flagship (the pencil case hails from said beautiful store). You can also snag that prosecco at any local grocery store!

I love the idea of giving a candle instead of my regular alcoholic gift when I show up at a party, that way the host/hostess can enjoy afterwards since often bottles get opened and shared. And, good point in when considering a wine gift, everyone loves sparkling!
ReplyDeleteA good sparkling wine is always appreciated! And I love that green pen case.
ReplyDeleteLove this round-up of gifts for her! They're all very unique. Wo wouldn't love a good sparkling wine? XO
