New Year, Better Skin + Okamura Farmacopia Giveaway!

Though I originally thought I'd do this big giveaway around the holidays, I started to think about my own skincare routine in the month of December and realized that it's a terrible time to start something new. You're eating terribly, your routine is changed entirely, and you're likely traveling and experiencing the woes of change in climate, plane rides, and borrowed bath products. Not a great time to introduce something new into your life. But a great time to convince you that you definitely need to work on your beauty regimen.

I am having a personal awakening about my skincare routine as well - my complexion has been entirely awful from the date of the first holiday party of December through to today. Too much make-up, too much alcohol, too many sweets, too many rich meals, too much dry air, too many heaters, not enough water. I can go on and on, but I'm definitely feeling the effects. My hands look dry, my face broken out, my skin peel-y, my whole body revolting against that which is the transition from wet, rainy fall to harsh cold weather that destroys the skin.
