I've got nothing but Hawaiian beaches on the brain. I think I've officially accepted my wedding anxiety and have moved into the realm of "in less than two months I'll be on the beach in Hawaii... for ten days." What that means to a very pale person in Oregon that has been in a bit of a steady drizzle for the past... forever (let's be honest, it's always drizzling here) is inexplicable.
When I have insomnia, I think of one beach on Oahu that I used to visit as a kid. I go through a sort-of hypnotic process of imagining I'm laying in the sand, feeling the warm water and listening to the waves roll in. It's pretty calming to think that I'll be on that beach shortly. It does inspire a bit of lust for vacation clothes (of which I own very very little) and I've had my eye on a ton of the gorgeous sandals, one-pieces and shorts at Shopbop recently. They just marked down some sale items that dropped some flowy silk dresses and plenty of pretty shorts in price and my vacation shopping brain is in overdrive.
My goal for Hawaii attire is: simple, good coverage (I'm getting married a week after we arrive in Hawaii and cannot be burnt to a little crisp by our wedding day), and wearable pieces that last. Classic sandals, pretty shorts, and non-bikinis are in my line of vision. I thought I'd share some of my top pics - some with amazing pricing! - with you today! Happy vacation dreaming!
